About Us
FlyArystan began operations in May 2019
and is based in Almaty.

The creation of FlyArystan was carried out throughout 2018 on the basis of Air Astana JSC and was approved by joint shareholders: Air Astana JSC, the National Welfare Fund "Samruk-Kazyna", the British company BAE Systems, and the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, on November 2, 2018.

In 2024, FlyArystan received its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Aviation Administration of Kazakhstan (AAK), confirming compliance with Kazakh aviation legislation and international operational standards. This allowed FlyArystan to obtain its own IATA code (FS) to expand its presence in foreign markets and cooperate with other airlines.

FlyArystan is 100% subsidiary of Air Astana.

Corporate social responsibility
  • Since July 19, 2023, FlyArystan has been implementing a pilot corporate social responsibility project called “Komek”. The project was officially launched on February 1, 2024. The main objective of the project is to support socially vulnerable groups of the population by providing discounted commercial air travel. As part of the “Komek” initiative, the airline offers a 50% discount on domestic flights within Kazakhstan for persons with physical disabilities (persons with Group 1 disability) and one accompanying person. Within this benefit, passengers with disabilities are also entitled to free transportation of 20 kilograms of baggage. Moreover, under the terms of this initiative, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, persons equated to WWII veterans, and their accompanying persons are eligible for a 100% discount on flights. More detailed information about the “Komek” project is available on the website via the following link: https://flyarystan.com/en/travel-information/social-responsibility

  • In 2023, the airline supported the families of those who perished in a devastating fire in the Abay region by offering free flights to the relatives of the deceased and the firefighters involved in disaster relief, as well as for transporting humanitarian aid. Additionally, last summer, the airline contributed to the reforestation efforts in the Abay region following the catastrophe. The company purchased and delivered 570 packs or 280 liters of peat substrate for growing plants at the state forest nature reserve "Semey Ormany". This supply of peat substrate was used for 1,325,000 seedlings with a closed root system, intended for autumn planting in 2024, covering a total area of 315.5 hectares.

  • In 2024, the airline supported the public association "Territory of Success", which focuses on the rehabilitation of people with disabilities, by assisting in the acquisition of specialized equipment – an eye tracker. This innovative device plays a crucial role in the lives of people with disabilities, enabling effective communication with the outside world.

  • In 2024, FlyArystan, in collaboration with Air Astana, provided free assistance in transporting humanitarian aid to those affected by flooding in Western Kazakhstan. They also offered volunteers free round-trip flights to help the victims on-site.

  • In 2024 Kazakhstan’s low-cost airline has partnered with the Heart Center Foundation to support an initiative aimed at improving medical care and enhancing the professional skills of doctors in Kazakhstan’s regions. • In 2025, FlyArystan once again supported the “Territory of Success” organization – this time as part of the “Umit” social project aimed at rehabilitating children with special needs who have lost parental care. Thanks to the airline’s support, a comprehensive program was implemented for a group of children with cerebral palsy, including therapeutic physical training, sessions with osteopaths, speech therapists and other specialists, as well as assistance with social adaptation and education.

  • In July 2025, together with the International Airport of Astana, the airline organized an excursion to the technical hangar for children with disabilities who are beneficiaries of the “Special Holidays” public foundation. The event was dedicated to Capital City Day and aimed to create an inclusive environment and provide new experiences for the children.

  • In October 2025, the airline expanded its cooperation with the public foundation Heart Center Foundation by supporting educational initiatives in the field of pediatric cardiology. As part of the “Patient School” project, FlyArystan provided flights for specialists from the UMC Heart Center (University Medical Center) to conduct educational sessions, lectures, and practical workshops for doctors and parents of children with congenital heart defects. In January 2026, FlyArystan supported the Heart Center Foundation once again by acting as the logistics partner for the sixth time for an outreach educational program in pediatric cardiology. The session took place on January 23–24 in Shymkent and brought together 60 pediatric doctors from regional medical institutions as well as families from the Turkestan region raising children with heart conditions.

  • In February 2026, FlyArystan provided airline tickets for children with special needs from Kostanay to participate in the National Inclusive Games “Juldyzai” held in Astana. The winter inclusive games took place on February 26–27 in Astana and brought together around 150 children and teenagers from different regions of the country.
